This to me is one of the greatest stories in the Old Testament. It underscores the most treasured gift we could ever receive from another human being. It is also the most expensive gift anyone could offer to another human being. Nobody on God’s earth could ever deserve such a gift. It’s a game changer for both the giver and the receiver and this story paints this truth so wonderfully. When Joseph gave this gift to his estranged brothers, it brought healing to a broken family.
